Around Town
Taking weekend trips is a popular thing to do for many people. It is a way to get out of the house and explore a new city that isn’t too terribly far from home. However, it is also something that many people over pack for. If you are one of those people who over packs, use these tips to better pack for your next weekend trip.

HOW TO PACK FOR A WEEKEND TRIP
Use travel sized containers for your necessities. You should not bring the full-size containers of shampoo and conditioners on each weekend trip. Instead, you should purchase smaller, travel size bottles to take with you. You can even buy reusable bottles and keep refilling them for every trip. It will save you a lot of room in your bag. If you are staying at a hotel, you may not even need to pack some of these things because they will be available in your room.
Only pack the essentials. This may go without saying, but you only need to bring the essentials. You do not need to bring a face mask that you may use but will likely not have time. Bring what you know you will need and nothing else. Make a list of these essentials and if you are traveling with someone else, make sure you do not duplicate items. For example, if you both use hair dryers, only one of you needs to bring one.
Only bring enough clothes for the days you will be gone. You do not need to bring your entire closet. Instead, pack for the things you will be doing and the days you will be gone. Bring a light sweater in case it gets cooler at night and make sure you choose one to go with all of your outfits. Choose versatile clothing as well so you can always have something that is right for the occasion.
Now that you know how to better pack for a weekend trip, it is time to plan one. Having a place to come home to is just as important as getting out of the house. If you are looking for a new place to call home, be sure to check out our apartments in Denver.
