DENVER MUSEUMS
WINGS OVER THE ROCKIES AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM
For air enthusiasts, this is a “must-see” museum located at the former Lowry Air Force Base. Along with archives, collections, and a research library covering the history of Lowry Air Force Base from 1938 to 1994, the museum is also home to more than 50 historic airplanes such as the B-52 Stratofortress, F-14 Tomcat, and the Star Wars™ X-Wing Starfighter.
MOLLY BROWN HOUSE MUSEUM
This beautiful museum is filled with the culture and spirit of its historic owner, Margaret (Molly) Brown. Walk past the lion statue and enter into the wonderful world of Molly, who was an activist and philanthropist. She was also a survivor of the Titanic. The first tour begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday-Saturday and the last tour starts at 3:30 p.m. On Sunday, the first tour begins at noon and the last tour starts at 3:30 p.m. Summertime tour hours may vary.
CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF DENVER
Located downtown, this fun-filled museum is the perfect outing for kids who want to play, learn, experience, create, and discover the world around them. From the Big Backyard where kids can experience what it’s like for animals to live in the backyard, to the Art Studio and Teaching Kitchen where kids can show off their creative and artistic talents, it’s non-stop fun at the museum.
DENVER MUSEUM OF NATURE AND SCIENCE
Step back in time to see historical exhibits, see the stars at the planetarium, watch shows at the IMAX theater, hear informative lectures, and participate in fun activities. When visiting the museum, you’ll be exploring and discovering the wonders of science, the universe, and the earth. Stop by for a visit from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. every day, except December 25.
