St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner so it is time to celebrate! Don’t do what everyone else does and drink a green beer or two. Be creative by concocting a St. Patrick’s Day cocktail in our Denver apartments.
ST. PADDY’S DAY JUICE COCKTAIL
This juicy cocktail is sweet, powerful and downright delicious. If you are looking for a layered effect in terms of visuals, keep the orange juice out of the mix until the very end. You can always add about four ounces of orange juice to your glass after pouring about the same amount of the remaining portion of this cocktail mixture. Aside from orange juice, this cocktail recipe requires half an ounce of light rum, vodka, white tequila and gin. One ounce of Blue Curaçao is also necessary. Fill up a parfait glass with some ice. Add the liquors then the orange juice. A couple cherries will top off this cocktail just right.
HONEYDEW MARTINI
Honeydew martinis are visually striking and quite pleasant to the taste buds. The recipe calls for half an ounce of triple sec, three ounces of vodka and half an ounce of Midori. Fill half of your cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Add the ingredients, shake and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish your martini with an orange slice. If you are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at work or another setting in which alcohol is not appropriate, you can skip the vodka or substitute with sparkling water.
ST. PATRICK’S DAY HAMMER SHOT
This tasty drink is one part Irish cream, one part Irish Mist and one part Jack Daniels. Fill your cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the three liquors, shake them until they chill and strain the mix into your shot glass.
EMERALD RAIN DRINK
This is a potent beverage that goes down quite nicely on St. Patrick’s Day. It should be served in a cold cocktail glass after a thorough shake. The Emerald Rain Drink recipe calls for half an ounce of orange juice, an ounce of vodka, one-quarter lime (freshly squeezed) and two ounces of Hpnotiq. Combine these ingredients in the shaker for a thorough mix.
